Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If you require any further assistance please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Why Conservaheat?

Unlike other multifoil products on the market, Conservaheat is purpose-built to tackle the unique insulation challenges of conservatory roofs. Its true Aluminum outer layers reflect up to 98% of radiant heat, keeping your conservatory warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Conservaheat includes an integrated vapor control layer that prevents condensation, protecting your Conservatory from damp and mould.

With better temperature regulation, your conservatory becomes more energy-efficient—reducing heating bills and increasing comfort year-round. It’s the go-to choice for homeowners looking for reliable, long-term performance.

How long will it take to install Conservaheat?
What areas do you cover?

We have fitting teams nationwide and cover all corners of the UK Mainland. We are currently unable to offer any installations in Northern Ireland and the Scottish Isles.

Do I require planning permission?

No, planning permission is not required, as the installation does not involve altering the external structure or appearance of the conservatory roof. Since the work is limited to internal improvements, this falls within permitted development rights.

Will I see the insulation through the glass?

If your conservatory roof is made of glass panels, our team of expert installers will apply ThermaFrost Window Film to the inside surface of the glass. This creates a white, opaque finish on the roof, effectively concealing the insulation from external view.

Can I have downlights in the ceiling?

Yes, we can install downlights in your new conservatory ceiling, or we can re-install your existing LED strip or pendant lights. If you’re unsure how many downlights you need, our dedicated team will be happy to advise you.

What type of insulation is used?

We use Conservaheat Insulation in all our Conservatory Roof Systems. It’s the only multifoil insulation on the market specifically engineered for conservatory roofs. Featuring true Aluminum outer foils, it reflects up to 98% of radiant energy, helping to keep your conservatory warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Plus, its built-in vapor control layer effectively prevents condensation.
